This free Etsy profit calculator breaks down every fee Etsy charges so you can see your true take-home on each order. It subtracts the listing fee ($0.20), the 6.5% transaction fee, payment processing, and optional Offsite Ads (15%) — plus your product or print-on-demand cost — to show profit per order and margin. It's built for print-on-demand and handmade sellers who are tired of guessing what a sale is really worth.

Frequently asked questions

What fees does Etsy charge per sale?

Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping, and payment-processing fees (roughly 3% + $0.25 in the US, varies by country). If a sale comes through Offsite Ads, Etsy also takes 15%. The calculator includes all of these.

How do I calculate Etsy profit?

Profit = item price + shipping charged − product cost − shipping cost − Etsy fees. Enter your price and costs above and the calculator does the maths, including the fee breakdown, break-even price and margin.

Are Etsy Offsite Ads fees included?

Yes — toggle 'Include Etsy Offsite Ads (15%)' to model a worst-case order. Note that the 15% fee only applies to orders that actually come through Offsite Ads, so your blended rate is usually lower.

Does payment processing vary by country?

Yes. The default is the US rate (3% + $0.25). Open Advanced to set your country's processing percentage and fixed fee.
